About the job:
You are part of the UXMatrix, the department that manages everything related to the front-end: from banners or logos to a fully functional, cutting-edge online casino.
This position is open inside the Framework team. Your primary focus will be on developing our internal framework for building performant websites and applications. You will also contribute to other front-end products, including Widgets—our internal open-source library of reusable web components (micro-frontends) designed to perform specific functions.
Your expertise in JavaScript will be vital to ensure seamless integration and high performance across our systems. We use all manner of JavaScript frameworks— Angular, Vue, Svelte, Stencil, and more—so strong JS fundamentals are essential. These are exciting products (especially for us and hopefully for you) and we’re looking for people who are ready to face a challenge, analyze existing functionality and transform and adapt it into something great using the latest stack of Web technologies.
What you'll get to do:
- Code quality
Adhere to the internal coding standards and guides, promote clean code practices and actively participate in teaching more junior colleagues to adhere through code reviews and feedback.
- Code review
Actively involved in code review. Making sure that all internal and industry coding standards are followed, and that the submitter understands completely not only what to adapt but why the changes made are required.
- Refactoring
Identify opportunities for refactoring and improving the codebase's scalability, stability, and performance.
- Scalability, stability and performance
You proactively implement performance optimizations and suggest implementation alternatives that improve the system’s scalability and long-term stability. You keep an eye on performance bottlenecks, and you know how to measure and tune them.
- Code documentation
Ensure all code is documented, adhering to our coding standards and documentation practices. Maintain up-to-date documentation and comments within the codebase.
- Operational
You can handle incidents according to the defined SLAs and project processes (the complexity refers to system/platform complexity, technical solution complexity or business knowledge).
- Communication
You contribute to best practices knowledge sharing and application within the project. You know how to share knowledge in many forms: feedback, presentations, recommendations of books and articles, recommendations of events, lessons learned etc.
What you need to shine:
- At least three years of previous experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in JavaScript.
- Proven experience with REST web services and/or web APIs.
- Proficient in using Node.js for custom automation and scripting across multi-tech monorepos.
- Experience with popular module bundlers such as Vite, Webpack, and others.
- Full understanding of all stages of software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of OOP and Data Access / Management.
- Knowledge about design patterns, optimization techniques and best practices.
- Good English, both written and spoken.
- Passion for learning and perfecting skills.
- Love working in a team and sharing ideas.
- Ability to understand technical architecture.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Self-sufficient.
Nice to have:
- Experience using performance profiling tools and using different performance improvement techniques.
- Docker knowledge.
- Unix experience.
- Ability to work in a Kanban system with fast switching priorities.
- Adapt to a fast-changing environment / to be able to provide solutions for improved workflow.

- Start with 22 days of annual leave, with 2 additional days added each year, up to 32 days by your fifth year with us.
