We are looking to add a Front-End Team Leader in Changsha, China within our EM Front-end team.

Project description:
You are part of the EMFE department. Working on the group level, Everymatrix Front-End (short EMFE) is the department that manages everything related to the front-end: from some banners or the need for a logo to a fully functional, cutting-edge online casino. We are composed of 6 teams: Bespoke Team, Business Team, QA Team, Operational Team, Products team, and Widgets team. This position is open inside the Bespoke Team.
We use a wide array of technologies, and we love to stay on the bleeding edge.
You will be working mainly with React, Redux, Webpack, and NodeJS, using HTTP2 and Web Sockets APIs as the transfer protocols between the server and the client. We deploy containerized apps via Docker, Kubernetes, and a continuous delivery pipeline.
Also, you will be implicated in our Widgets Projects, which is a micro-frontend approach to developing our end products. We use web components and we believe that this is the future of scalable front-end.
It’s an exciting product (especially for us and hopefully for you) and we’re looking for people who are ready to face a challenge, analyze existing functionality and transform and adapt it into something great using the latest stack of Web technologies.
Responsibilities:
The Team Leader (known as TL) is responsible for end-to-end software development. He/ she is expected to help evolve and define the product features working alongside the various product owners, in enterprise software development and is abreast with related technologies. He/she is responsible for managing and coordinating resources and processes to make quality & timely deliveries alongside defining/handling and upholding all the governance for the Widget project.
You will be working on our framework that is built on top of ReactJS. This is a cool project that we’ll be using to deliver websites faster than ever. You will be part of the core team of the framework working on the most interesting and challenging things. Amongst the most important responsibilities of the role that you will have are:
- Manage the team under the area he is responsible for (EMFE-Bespoke Changsha);
- Guide, coach, and mentor software development engineers, either personally or through any appointed delegates whom the TL deems suitable for such responsibility;
- Contribute to project management and technical leadership for every aspect of the software;
- Prepare lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, and evaluation, along with delivery to product management;
- Lead efforts to create or improve the current technical roadmap of all projects based on the architect’s or technical leader’s designs;
- Implement the company/BU/department vision and be responsible for adapting all processes to fulfil the stakeholders' direction;
- Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for the delivery of scalable and high-quality software;
- Perform closely with Engineers, Developers, and Product Management throughout the organization to influence product development assisting or improving products;
- Learn and display how products would add value to the respective business; also dissipate this information internally to his teams;
- Supervise resource allocation to ensure the attainment of apt business and personnel development goals;
- Evaluate projects, provide feedback to the Business Team on updates to schedules, and supervise project status;
- Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings;
- Ensure that all the work done by the team is capitalizable and if not possible it’s billable by exposing transparently and upfront the entire log work timesheet.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a similar role;
- Proficiency in Vanilla JavaScript / HTML / CSS;
- Proven experience with REST web services and/or web APIs;
- Knowledge of OOP and Data Access / Management;
- Passion for learning and perfecting skills;
- Ability to work in a Kanban system with fast-switching priorities;
- Good English, both written and spoken;
- Experience with all stages of the software development lifecycle;
- Knowledge about design patterns, optimization techniques and best practices;
- Love working in a team and sharing ideas;
- Ability to understand technical architecture;
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Strong technical vision and hands-on experience in software development and test automation;
- Be responsible for the career progression and hiring processes for the development team;

- High level of initiative.

- CI/CD - understanding of deployment procedures and workflows
- Proven experience in react development
- Experience using performance profiling tools and using different performance improvement techniques
